Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (3-4 days in office)
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Dignity Funerals is one of the UK’s most trusted providers of funeral, cremation, and end-of-life services. We are seeking a skilled and proactive SEO Manager to lead our organic search strategy, improve lead generation, and optimise content for compliance and customer impact.
Based in Maidenhead, you will play a key role in the redevelopment of our website and digital presence ahead of a major relaunch in 2026. This is a strategic, hands-on role that requires technical SEO expertise, strong content awareness, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams in a regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver the SEO roadmap to support organic lead generation and revenue growth targets.
Optimise technical SEO including Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site architecture.
Develop and manage high-impact content that meets FCA compliance, E-E-A-T, and YMYL standards.
Improve local SEO across Google Business Profiles and branch-level pages.
Design and implement CRO experiments to enhance user journeys and quote form conversions.
Track performance through GA4 and Looker dashboards, reporting on rankings, traffic, CPL, and ROI.
Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Legal, and IT to ensure content and SEO efforts align with regulations and business priorities.
Manage external SEO vendors and tools to ensure best-in-class service and return on investment.

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:

Hands-on SEO experience, ideally in regulated sectors such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or similar.
Proven success in increasing organic traffic, lead generation, and user engagement.
Strong technical knowledge of SEO principles, site architecture, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
Confident working with SEO tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush or Ahrefs, and A/B testing platforms.
Skilled in content strategy, with experience writing, editing, or managing compliant content.
Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to work across departments and with senior leadership.
Empathetic and customer-focused, particularly when writing for older or financially vulnerable audiences.
