About Us
Cygnet Health Care was established in 1988 as an independent provider of health and social care services in England, Scotland and Wales.
Your Role
Service Line:Female Mental Health Across 2 Wards – 1 Acute Ward and 1 Ward for Complex Personality Disorder and Co-Morbid Disordered Eating.
Contract: Maternity Cover (9-12 months)
Summary of the Site:
Cygnet Nield House in Crewe is our 29-bed mental health hospital for women.
Cygnet Nield House is split into two distinct wards, each offering specialist mental health services:
Clarion Ward, a 14 bed complex personality disorder service for women with a dual diagnosis of personality disorder and co-morbid disordered eating.
Compton Ward, a 15 bed acute service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
There is a dedicated clinical team who provide multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry, and nursing staff. You will be supported by a Band 5 OT, an OTA & 2 Activity Co-ordinators across site.
Occupational Therapy Directorate
Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.
Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
