EQUANS is recruiting for a Roofer based in Oldham. This is a permanent full‑time role of 37 hours per week. The offer includes a competitive salary of £34,893, a van & fuel card, and a benefits package.
General Overview
Carry out the duties of a Roofer in accordance with statutory regulations, company policies and procedures. Assist the team in producing a quality product that meets contract requirements and is delivered safely, adhering to the requirements set by the SHEQ team.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out various roofing tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company, including:
- Tiled roofs
- Slate roofs
- Flat roofs
- Leadwork – flashings, etc.
- Pointing of valleys and verges
- Brickwork repairs
- Chimneys and pots
- Working safely at height
- Assist with adherence to company quality standards, such as:
- Compliance with specification
- Compliance with materials and workmanship schedules
- High‑quality customer care, always polite and professional
- Maintain and care for all company tools
- 1st‑time fix whenever possible
- Use appropriate safety equipment and wear appropriate clothing/uniform
- Ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
- Responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
- Hold keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate
- Liaise with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office, etc.
- Coordinate materials
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of any relevant documentation required on the contract
- Any other reasonable management request
