Package Description
Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Rhoose, Barry (CF62)
Pay Rate: £13.20 – £13.90 per hour*
Contracted Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift Patterns
- 7:30am – 8:00pm
- 9:30am – 10:00pm
- 8:00pm – 7:30am
Important Information
We are currently looking to recruit more Male Support Workers due to the specific care needs and preferences of the people we support. This requirement is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and is classed as a genuine occupational requirement, making the role exempt from gender-based discrimination provisions. Applicants must also be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the support provided.

What You’ll Do As a Support Worker
- Provide daily support to individuals based on their routines and needs
- Promote independence and confidence in day-to-day activities
- Support with personal growth through hobbies and community engagement
- Assist with health needs, including medical appointments and administering medication
- Teach life skills such as budgeting, shopping, and managing bills
- Help with domestic responsibilities including cooking and cleaning
- Provide personal care, where required
- Offer ongoing emotional and physical support
Experience is not necessary – full training and development are provided.
