Job Role: Supported Housing Worker (Part-time)
Salary: £13,122.20 per year (full time £25,235)
Hours: 19.5 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Somerset East & Somerset, mainly Frome & Shepton Mallet
Additional Information
- Valid driver\’s license and access to a car for business purposes
- Participation in a rostered system of working with shifts between the hours of 08:00 AM and 20:00 PM
- Standard working days will include Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday
Please note that the weekly hours will be reduced from 19.5 to 12 as of 1st April 2026; however, this may be extended
The Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Supported Housing Worker to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals who have experienced homelessness or insecure housing
In this rewarding role, you’ll work directly with clients in both supported housing and the wider community, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, and move towards stable, long-term accommodation. You’ll provide both practical and emotional support tailored to each individual’s needs—whether that’s helping them manage a tenancy, access services, or develop life skills.
You’ll manage a small caseload (typically 4–10 clients), allowing you to build meaningful relationships and deliver consistent, impactful support. With a strong focus on face-to-face engagement, you’ll play a key role in preventing tenancy breakdowns and promoting independence.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Empowering clients with diverse and complex needs
- Championing a strength-based, trauma-informed approach
- Building strong partnerships with local agencies
- Keeping client records accurate, clear, and up to date
- Tracking referrals into the service

- Valid driver\’s license and access to own vehicle – business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
