Summary
NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Installer/Tester on the prestigious SETL – South East Trains Limited contract This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated individual to work on a variety of railway stations and building across the South East Trains estate.
The successful candidate will require a UK Driving License as a company van is provided. You will also be required to pass a medical and course to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) sentinel card to be able to work near the tracks if you don\’t already have one. This is a condition of employment.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment
- Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
- Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
- Undertake various installation tasks such as consumer units, emergency lighting, rewires, and electrical remedial works
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills
- Manage your time effectively and meet deadlines
Working hours:
Working hours are 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
What we’re looking for:
Electrical Installer/Tester working to a high standard of building services provision with the utmost regard for customer service.
You Will Hold Current Qualifications.
- NVQ Level 3 and AM2 to ensure candidate can be become an NICEIC QS going forward.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing
- City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition
- Personal Track Safety – PTS (Desirable not Essential)
- IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
- Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
- L8 Training (Desirable)
