Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £38,303
Hours: 40 hour week
Working Days: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave, rising 1 day per year to 25 days + 8 bank holidays (increasing with service)
About the Role: We’re looking for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Wrexham to carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repair ensuring our equipment runs smoothly, carrying out preventative maintenance, and responding to breakdowns efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults inside the building, such as general building maintenance and the plant and machinery used to move the goods in and out of the building:
- Conveyor systems
- Automated pallet movers/palletisers
- Dock levellers
- Roller doors/shutter doors
- Warehouse Infrastructure
- Lighting systems (LED, motion sensors)
- Electrical systems (general wiring, control panels)
- Plumbing systems
- Mechanical Equipment
- Pallet trucks/forklifts
- Racking systems (structural integrity, safety checks)
- Building Maintenance
- General fabric maintenance
- Fire alarms/emergency lighting systems
You will be carrying out planned maintenance (PM) to prevent breakdowns. Working closely with other departments to maintain smooth operations. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and company policies. Keeping accurate maintenance records and ordering necessary parts. Using power tools and working safely at heights if required.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Experience in a manufacturing, processing, or warehouse environment.
Electrically biased with electrical qualifications such as 17th Edition or 18th Edition and an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
Welding skills are a bonus as well as Forklift Truck (FLT) and Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) license. But this training will be provided.
