We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with relevant pre-contract experience to join our team and lead the commercial estimates of a wide range of civil engineering and water/wastewater projects throughout the Thames Water Region.
You will be adding your Pre-Contract expertise to our team in the Thames region. We are working on clean and wastewater projects for our capital delivery framework as we continue into AMP8.
As our new Project Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, you\’ll work closely with our framework teams and operational colleagues to develop estimates, while also being an integral part of our larger Bidding and Estimating department.
Allowing you the chance to gain hands-on experience from the people delivering the projects and benefit from the support of our experienced estimators across the company.
For this role, we are looking for applicants that offer:
- Experience in a similar role from a civils/construction/water background, with emphasis on Pre-contract estimating/costing.
- Attention to detail and commercially astute
- Familiarity of working with NEC/JCT Form of Contract
- Understanding of commercial, contractual and procurement processes
With typical projects ranging in value from <£1m to in excess of £30m it presents you with a variety of schemes of differing scale, complexity, and scope.
