Face to Face Freelance Interpreter – Greater London
Can you confidently interpret between English and another language? Passionate about helping others and making a real difference? We’re looking for Interpreters to join our growing team at Dals! As a freelance interpreter, you will attend appointments in person to support our clients and their non-English speaking service users.
As a freelance interpreter, you’ll support non-English speakers by providing accurate and professional interpreting services via telephone and video. You’ll help bridge communication gaps in essential settings like healthcare, legal, and public services—making every conversation count.
What will you do?
- Interpret live conversations between clients and limited English speakers.
- Support communication in medical, legal, social services, and public sector settings.
- Ensure accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation.
- Use our interpreting app to manage your availability and assignments.
- Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.
What We’re Looking For:
Fluency in English and at least one other language (language assessment required)
Experience in interpreting or relevant qualifications
Strong communication and listening skills
Right to work in your country of residence
Security clearance (or willingness to obtain one—we can help!)
What you need:
Having one or more of the below qualifications is essential:
- Open College Network Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting
- Open College Network Level 4 Certificate in Community Interpreting
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting Level 6
