Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor – Goodenough Hotel
- 15.80 per hour
- 35 hours per week
- Working 5 out of 7 days, including some weekends
- Earliest start 7.30am, latest finish 5pm
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to support the effective day-to-day operation of the housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across all assigned areas
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are consistently met
- Conducting audits
- Allocate daily tasks and schedules to housekeeping staff and provide support where needed
- Linen Management
- Monitor staff performance, provide on-the-job coaching, and report any issues to management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, COSHH
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, inventory, and incident reports
- Liaise with other departments (e.g., maintenance, front of house) to coordinate services and respond to urgent needs
- Assist with recruitment, inductions and training of new team members
- Promote a positive working environment and uphold high standards of customer service
Essential:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or team leader role
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Able to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Computer skills/ Excel skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and COSHH
- Experience working in (e.g., an educational, hospitality, or healthcare setting)
