Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and compassionateHair Stylist with experience in hair loss camouflage solutions. The ideal candidate must be confident in working with clients experiencing all stages of hair thinning or baldness and capable of applying a wide variety of styling and enhancement techniques—including medical wigs, extensions, weaves, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform custom styling to camouflage thinning or balding areas using:
- Strategic cuts, blowouts, curls, layers, and texture manipulation
- Scalp camouflage (fibers, sprays, makeup)
- Fit, style, and maintain:
- Medical wigs (cranial prostheses)including lace front, full lace, and vacuum-fit units
- Hair toppers and partial hairpieces
- Apply and manage varioushair extension methods:
- Tape-in, clip-in, halo, microlink, and keratin bond extensions
- Install and maintainweaves and sew-ins:
- Traditional sew-ins, net weaves, and braidless methods
- Advise on and assist with protective styles and accessories such as:
- Scarves, turbans, hats, and silk wraps
- Collaborate with medical and trichology staff to align styling with treatment plans
- Educate clients on home care and maintenance to preserve scalp health
- Maintain sanitary, professional, and welcoming workspace
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Hair Stylist / Cosmetologist (must meet local licensing standards)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with hair extensions, wigs, or weaves
- Deep understanding of hair types, especially textured and ethnic hair
- Experience working with clients with medical hair loss is preferred
- Skilled in compassionate communication and client care
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Wig customization (bleaching knots, plucking hairlines, tinting lace)
- Scalp micropigmentation familiarity (optional)
- Knowledge of alopecia types and hair loss conditions
- Ability to track client progress with photos or hair density tools
