UKR Group is looking for 3x experienced Groundworkers to start ASAP in a job in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
The role will primarily involve working on foundations and drainage, followed by kerb laying and other external works as the project progresses.
The ideal candidate should have experience in groundwork, including drainage installation, foundation preparation, and kerb laying, while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will carry out all aspects of groundwork duties.
Responsibilities:
- Excavate and prepare the ground for foundations.
- Install drainage systems, including pipe laying and shallow drainage work.
- Ensure proper compaction and leveling to create a stable base for construction.
- Lay kerbs, slabs, and edgings to precise specifications.
- Assist with external finishing work, including block paving and concrete tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools for excavation and groundwork.
- Conduct hand digging when required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite.
