Housing Support Worker

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

37 hours per week, shift work with some weekends

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering tailored one-to-one support and case management

Creating and reviewing personalised support and risk management plans

Promoting independent living, wellbeing, and financial resilience

Supporting with benefit applications, arrears management, and practical life skills

Working in partnership with local agencies, professionals, and internal teams

Maintaining a safe, secure, and positive living environment

What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting vulnerable individuals—such as those affected by homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse, or domestic abuse

Knowledge of housing or social care sectors, including understanding of welfare benefits and tenancy-related issues

Ability to manage a complex caseload, complete assessments, and keep accurate support records

Confident using a coaching or strengths-based approach to engage and motivate service users

Emotionally resilient, compassionate, and able to set clear boundaries

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Basic IT literacy and familiarity with digital tools
