I\’m working on behalf of a leading player in the IT construction and infrastructure sector to find an experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and deliver large-scale IT infrastructure projects across mission-critical environments including data centres, commercial builds, healthcare sites, and more.
If you\’re technically strong, commercially aware, and confident delivering complex structured cabling projects end-to-end, this role offers variety, challenge, and progression.
What You\’ll Be Doing:
- Take full ownership of structured cabling projects from planning through to handover.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and commercial stakeholders.
- Manage project delivery resources: engineers, tools, materials, and suppliers.
- Oversee budgets, P&L, timelines, and documentation, including RAMS and H&S compliance.
- Deliver data infrastructure works across environments such as hyperscale data centres, logistics hubs, and smart buildings.
- Supervise installations (Cat5e-Cat7, OM4, OS2), terminations, testing (Fluke, OTDR), and final commissioning.
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensure quality assurance, and maintain white space standards.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in structured cabling or ICT infrastructure project management.
- Strong technical background – ideally someone who has progressed \”from the tools.\”
- Knowledge of data centre white space environments, cabling standards, and QA protocols.
- ECS/CSCS Black or Gold Card, SSSTS/SMSTS certification (essential).
- Industry-recognised credentials (e.g. CNCI, CDCTP, CTPM) highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project documentation, drawings (Visio/AutoCAD), and tools like MS Project or Linkware.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
