Our Infrastructure Operations team offers a fantastic opportunity for an Infrastructure Operations Technician in Preston.
Our role
As an Infrastructure Operations Technician, your primary responsibilities include administering and maintaining infrastructure systems in our data centres and in the cloud. You should possess broad knowledge of data centre technologies and Windows services to monitor critical systems, resolve incidents, complete service requests, and provide field support in our data centres and offices. This role involves responsibility for enterprise systems, both corporate and critical national infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For
- O365 administration and troubleshooting, including Azure AD, role-based access control, Exchange Online, Teams, InTune, E-Discovery, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Solarwinds (or equivalent), AD Connect
- Windows Server administration and troubleshooting, with skills in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows services, WSUS; applicants with primary skills in Unix/Linux/Azure and secondary skills in Windows Server will also be considered
- Windows 10 desktop support, including hardware build and maintenance, image creation/deployment, network troubleshooting
- VMWare administration and troubleshooting, including resource pools, Vmotion & DRS, reporting
- Experience or understanding of Citrix, hardware support, patching with WSUS, anti-virus management
- Proven experience in infrastructure/data centre operations
- Attention to detail, quality, and security awareness
- A full UK driving license
