OurTax Advisory teamis growing, and we’re looking for a technically strong Assistant Manager who’s passionate about delivering high-impact advice to ambitious businesses and their owners particularly as they embark on M&A transactions.

What You’ll Be Doing…

  • Advising clients on a wide range ofcorporate and shareholder tax matters, with a focus onM&A transactionsand strategic tax planning
  • Supporting on a wide range of M&A; transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, shareholder tax planning on disposals and private equity deals
  • Working closely with clients, legal advisors, and internal teams to deliver clear, commercial tax advice
  • Drafting tax reports and presenting recommendations to stakeholders
  • Preparing tax clearance applications to HMRC
  • Mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work
  • Staying up to date with tax legislation and applying it to real-world scenarios
  • Researching tax legislation and providing conclusions and recommendations
  • Project managing the involvement of specialist tax teams, such as business tax, VAT, R&D, employment taxes etc.

No day the same – one day you may be advising a business or Private Equity on its acquisition of a company, contributing to tax due diligence, advising on the structure; on another day you may be advising shareholders as they sell their business or management teams on their own tax position as their investors look to exit.   • CTA or ATT qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in tax advisoryorM&A-related tax work is preferred, whether corporate or shareholder tax related or other
  • Candidateswithout direct M&A experiencemay be considered if they demonstrate strong technical tax skills and a passion for advisory work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to challenge the status quo
