Role Overview
This role presents a distinctive opportunity for a highly motivated and intellectually curious professional to gain comprehensive, end-to-end exposure across live transactions within a dynamic and globally oriented environment. The Analyst will work in direct partnership with senior leadership and clients, contributing meaningfully to deal execution, strategic analysis, and business development from the outset.
We are particularly interested in candidates who exhibit entrepreneurial drive, a global mindset, and a strong interest in emerging markets, especially Africa. Familiarity with AI tools and applications in financial analysis or business research will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust financial models, including valuation (DCF, comparable), LBOs, and capital structure analysis
- Prepare client-ready materials such as pitchbooks, teasers, IMs, and Investment deck
- Conduct sector and company research across African and global markets
- Support execution of live M&A and capital raising transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and investor interactions
- Track macroeconomic, regulatory, and political developments relevant to our focus markets
- Engage with clients, investors, and stakeholders across Africa, the UK, the Middle East, and other global markets
- Maintain deal tracking tools, CRM, and internal knowledge databases
- Leverage AI-powered tools (where relevant) to enhance research, modelling, and workflow Profile:
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, Big 4 advisory, private equity, or strategic consulting
- Proven skills in financial modelling, company valuation, and transaction analysis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a bias for action
- Interest or experience in global emerging and frontier markets
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Exposure to or willingness to adopt AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Excel plugins, data platforms) for enhanced CA / MBA from Tier 1 College / CFA
- Demonstrated maturity, professional judgment, and a high degree of discretion are critical for success in this role
