We\’re Hiring: Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor
Location: Remote based with travel to learner sites
Contract: Part-time | Permanent
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 Pro Rata (depending on experience)

At Juniper Training, we’re on the lookout for a committed and energetic Early Years Skills Coach/Tutor to join our growing apprenticeship team. Whether you’re delivering small group sessions or providing one-to-one support in the workplace, you’ll play a key role in helping learners achieve, grow, and thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering engaging, inspiring Early Years apprenticeship training – both in group settings and one-to-one
- Supporting learners with English and maths Functional Skills (up to Level 2)
- Assessing portfolios and providing developmental feedback
- Creating innovative schemes of work and lesson plans
- Managing and reviewing apprentices’ progress to keep them on track
- Supporting learners in the workplace with visits and regular reviews
- Meeting attendance, retention and achievement targets
- Ensuring all learners are safeguarded and supported
Essential
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the Early Years sector (within the last 3 years)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (this is a peripatetic role)
- Minimum Level 2 in English and maths
- Ability to deliver effective and engaging training to 16+ learners and adults
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
- Confident using e-portfolios and IT systems
Desirable
- TAQA or equivalent (or willingness to work towards within 6 months)
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification
- Experience mentoring, coaching or assessing apprentices
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards and frameworks
