Receipt and Distribution Assistant is a manual handling role working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive service to the Hospital. The role involves scheduled and unscheduled movement of stock and items around the Hospital site, adhering to health & safety and manual handling practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the receipt of items into stock using the trust\’s procurement systems.
- Identifying miss-deliveries and accurately recording details into the trust\’s IT systems.
- Prioritising workloads to ensure critical items are received promptly.
- Liaising with ward areas for the safe delivery of stock.
You should be comfortable working both as part of a team and independently. Good communication skills are essential. The role requires the ability to cope under pressure, remain positive and focused. You must adhere to departmental protocols and ethics, including timekeeping, dress code, cleanliness, and maintaining a positive attitude towards patients, visitors, and colleagues, in line with departmental processes and the Trust’s vision and values.
