Architectural Designer Housing & Sustainability Focus
Hybrid working Office 3 days a week (Mon-Weds)
GBP35,000 – GBP42,000
You ll join a central design team shaping the future of housing and apartment design. From concept through to construction, you ll work on a portfolio that s evolving with a strong focus on sustainability, timber-frame construction, and new home standards.
This is an opportunity to grow your career in a collaborative team that values fresh ideas and innovation. You ll play a key part in redesigning and updating house types, expanding into apartments, flats, and maisonettes, and supporting the business as it leads on eco-home design.
What you ll be doing
- Developing and maintaining the housing and apartment portfolio, internal specifications, and standard details
- Preparing planning, working, and sales drawing packages using AutoCAD
- Collaborating with regional teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time
- Keeping up to date with Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and new sustainable building methods
- Visiting sites to review design in practice and gather feedback from sales and construction teams
- Exploring innovative products and construction methods that push sustainability forward
