THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Equipment Work Package Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex equipment work packages. The role involves managing technical requirements, overseeing suppliers and design authorities, ensuring successful hardware development, and delivering to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the complete equipment work package, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking.
- Take ownership of the technical requirements for the equipment, collaborating with systems engineers and subject matter experts.
- Oversee the development and delivery of hardware, managing concessions, faults, and technical change.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including Statements of Work and detailed delivery plans.
- Provide technical leadership to internal and external design authorities or suppliers, ensuring delivery against performance, cost, and schedule targets.
- Lead design and process gate reviews throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Own and coordinate the test strategy and verification evidence, ensuring full compliance with design and qualification needs.
- Manage project risks and opportunities, driving mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Conduct regular supplier engagement, including on-site visits when necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Strong Test Design Capabilities.
- Proficient in Supplier and Project Management.
- Solid experience in Requirements Management.
- Proven ability to manage engineering work packages through full lifecycle.
- Skilled in stakeholder communication, planning, and coordination.
- Experience in managing hardware delivery, technical compliance, and risk management .
