SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £90 – £100 per day

Location: Leicester – LE2

Time: 8:30am 3:30pm

Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Daily Supply Basis

Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible daily supply work within schools? Do you have experience working with children in EYFS, KS1, and KS2?

Look no further – we have the ideal role for you!

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a local primary school in Leicester. This role involves providing high-quality teaching across different year groups, ensuring engaging and inclusive learning experiences. You will be expected to work 1 to 1 or in small groups supporting the children socially and academically.

Due to the nature of the role you may receive calls between 7am – 7:30am on the day of work.

The role includes:

  • Adapting activities to meet the needs of different abilities
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Supporting children with their learning and development
  • Acting as a positive role model and creating a safe, engaging classroom environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in primary schools across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • A strong understanding of SEN
  • Relevant teaching qualifications
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • The ability to work on a daily supply basis across different year groups

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check Must be on the update service (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one)
  • Two professional references
