Would you like to work for one of the leading British Family History organisations to help preserve the records of our ancestors for future generations?

We are expanding our digitisation team at The National Archives in Kew. Please ensure you are happy commuting to Kew before applying for this role.

What is digitisation?

Converting physical books, maps and other media into digital images for our worldwide users to search, view and add to their family trees.

Skills required?

All training is given, but experience in photography or digitisation would be an advantage.

What qualities will applicants have?

  • Efficient worker – Digitisation is a balance between speed and quality
  • Diligence – You\’ll be working with documents that are up to 200 years old and need to be handled with care
  • Willing to undergo government security checks

Working Hours?

9-5, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour lunch break
