The position involves both workshop duties and occasional on-site work, supporting the preparation, maintenance, delivery, and repair of diesel-powered equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel equipment in line with manufacturer schedules Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and diesel engines Support breakdown response for equipment on customer sites as required Deliver and collect equipment using company vehicles Refuel equipment on-site as part of service and delivery duties Assist with loading and offloading of equipment within the yard Operate forklifts and assist with general yard duties when needed Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours service cover Maintain a clean, organised work environment and ensure all work complies with health and safety and environmental standardsSkills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC) OR completion of an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR significant proven experience working with large diesel engines (e.g. Perkins, Cummins) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team Full UK driving licenceRefer a friend and you will receive a retail voucher of your choice up to the value of £500.
