Building a sustainable tomorrow Bam UK&I are looking for an experienced Compensation and benefits advisor to join us on an 18 month FTC on a hybrid basis working from any of our UK&I offices. The role will report into the Compensation and Benefits Manager and work in a small specialist team, supporting the wider People Team. You could be based anywhere in the UK or Ireland, with a requirement for regular travel to BAM offices. Your mission The successful candidate will work alongside the Compensation and Benefits Manager and Director to manage and oversee all aspects of compensation and benefits for our 6,700 employees across the UK and Ireland. There will also be a link into our Compensation and Benefits team in Corporate Centre based in the Netherlands, who we work closely with. Key Responsibilities * Benefits Administration: Be the C&B point of contact for our flexible benefits scheme ‘BAM Benefits’ including queries on the benefits, liaison with our portal provider and suppliers. Work with the Benefits Administrators to provide an excellent, consistent service to our employees. * Pensions: Verification and upload of pension contributions to the supplier portal monthly. Involvement in the Auto Enrolment process in the UK and launch of this in Ireland. * Supplier Management: Working with the Compensation & Benefits Director and Manager, the role will include liaison with benefit suppliers and our Flexible Benefit portal provider. Involvement in the negotiation of contracts to ensure the best value for the company. * Data & reporting: Provision of benefits and salary data to suppliers, the People team and the wider business when required, including complex analysis and reporting using Excel. * Short Term Incentive and Pay Review Process: Management of these processes alongside our HR Administration team, including management of the process, production of data, liaison with HR Business Partners & data analysis. This will also include involvement of developing system capability for our Short Term Incentive payments. * Salary Benchmarking: Conduct salary benchmarking exercises to ensure roles are recruited at an appropriate level with consideration to internal and external factors. * Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits packages are competitive. * Pay Gap reporting: Production of data for Pay Gap reporting and involvement in the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive. * Employee Communication: Assist with the communication of compensation and benefits information effectively to employees, ensuring they understand and appreciate their total reward. * Income Protection: Co-ordination of long term absence cases, including liaison with HR Business Partners and our insurers. * Invoices: Management and processing of invoices via our SAP system. Who are we looking for? * Solid previous experience in a Compensation and Benefits role is essential. * A strong working knowledge of pensions is preferred. * Excellent knowledge of Excel with the ability to produce PIVOT tables, charts and graphs and to run V-LOOKUPs. * Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification is required – level 7 preferred, level 5 minimum. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
