Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering / Groundworks Based just outside the west of Manchester, projects within 45 minutes £50,000 to £75,000 depending on experience + Car or Allowance + Fuel Card 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays Electric Car Options + Office Charging Points Hours are 0730 to 5pm, Office based with Site visits as required Full-time, permanent position About the Company This well-established civil engineering contractor, based just outside the west of Manchester, delivers a wide range of high-quality groundworks and infrastructure services for many of the UK’s major housebuilders. Projects include foundations, drainage, 278 works and slab-level finishes, with typical values between £5 million and £20 million. All work is located within a 45-minute radius of the office, helping to keep travel manageable and the working day structured. The business is known for its professional standards and consistent delivery. You will be joining a skilled and friendly commercial team in a stable and well-organised environment. The Role You will report to the Commercial Director and take responsibility for up to four live residential groundworks sites. Duties include subcontractor management, valuations, variations, commercial reporting and cost control from start to finish. The company is open to Quantity Surveyors from groundworks or wider construction backgrounds. If you have strong commercial understanding and a willingness to learn, you will receive support to grow your skills in this sector.
