Red Sky Personnel are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to work across the Midlands – Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire We are recruiting for a permanent Senior Engineer to initially work on the Environment Agency Flood Alleviation Scheme in the East Midlands. You will need to provide overall control for the technical aspects of the project, including the monitoring and co-ordination of design change. You will need to have an overall grasp of the works quality, ensuring that works are constructed in line with the project specification and that ITP plans / records are produced and kept up to date in line with the project progress. Key Responsibilities Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification. Complete hazard / risk assessments and method statements. Manage the site service plans/ drawings. Issue permits accordingly. Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes. Monitor and control temporary works. Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures Skills Required We are seeking a proactive problem solver, a confident communicator, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals. The ideal candidate for this Senior Engineer role must have good and extensive setting out experience working on infrastructure projects including highways, roads and earthworks. Must be capable of working with Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD to the surveying equipment. Good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance process. Should have good leadership skills and understanding of construction practices. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Midlands A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
