Design Team Manager | 12 Month Contract | Outside IR35 I am on the lookout for a Design Team Manager on a 12 month contract for a construction firm in London. This will be a hybrid setup with 3 days per week in their London office. Key expereience/Responsibilities: Co-managing a team of 12 Electrical Engineers and 3 CAD Technicians. Managing the delivery of electrical designs to support 4G & 5G infrastructure being installed on the London Underground. Previous LU / TfL project experience preferable but not essential. Strong knowledge of electrical design processes, deliverables, and software packages required. Role may suit a Senior / Principle / Associate Electrical Engineer with experience managing teams and projects, or a Design Manager with a sufficient technical background. Would suit someone who has worked contractor side and not exclusively consultancy. Some key responsibilities: Managing the design programme. Liaising with the client / third parties. Dealing with design issues and supporting the rest of the team with their design work. Carrying out technical reviews of electrical design packages. Providing management support to the CAD team. Organising surveys (these are carried out on our behalf by our installation team). Managing resource, assisting with further recruitment if required. Raising queries to the client and TfL, taking the blockers from engineer\’s designs upstream to find resolutions.
