£300 per day | 3-Month Contract | Outside IR35 Application Deadline: Monday 21st July 2025 A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Drainage Technician to join a respected organisation in the Rochford area on an initial 3-month contract. This role is offered outside IR35 and pays £300 per day (umbrella). Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will be providing expert advice on drainage and flood risk matters, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including internal departments, elected members, developers, and members of the public. Key Responsibilities: Advising on drainage, flooding, and land drainage matters Assisting with enforcement relating to planning and drainage breaches Carrying out on-site inspections to check drainage compliance with approved plans Preparing legal documentation and evidence for formal proceedings Attending court as an expert witness where necessary Drafting policies and procedures for drainage protocols and guidanceRequirements: Strong working knowledge of drainage systems, flood risk, and land drainage legislation Previous experience in a technical drainage or enforcement-related role Ability to liaise confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience preparing case files and legal documentation Excellent organisational, analytical, and report-writing skillsThis is a great opportunity for someone confident in their technical knowledge, who enjoys working independently and making a tangible impact in their local area
