Business Need / Purpose of Role: To manage and coordinate the OE Control & Nuclear Projects team, ensuring that they have the training and tools to generate quotations and give technical advice to our customers. To ensure that the Control & Nuclear Projects team is customer-focused, effective and pro-active in its approach to servicing our customers. Objectives & Measurement – Including but not limited to: Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities: Objectives: * Supervise and prepare technical proposals and quotations in-line with company procedures and industry best practice * Effectively manage contact with customers, external sales and agents to gather market intelligence so as to priortise quotations and target competition * Identify, qualify, prepare and deliver detailed techno-commercial proposals for OEM projects to the global nuclear market * Meet and exceed specific Key Performance Indicators set by the Head of Commercial Operations e.g., achieving or exceeding the required bid date and increasing order intake / hit rates * Review incoming enquiries and allocate to the OE sales team. During review ensure that the best manufacturing & sourcing strategy is chosen. * Provide high quality quotations delivered to the customer requirements * Focus on key bids for chosen key customers with input from External Sales * Communicate effectively with team members, other departments and management * Manage the team resources to ensure the work is accurate and meets agreed deadlines * Effective telephone contact with the customers and External Sales is demonstrated by all team members ensuring client feedback is obtained regularly * Manage team productivity through monitoring and coaching * Supervise, motivate and provide leadership to the team * Provide consultancy, guidance and support to all team members * Be committed to continual process review and improvement through the ability to innovate and collaborate with the team members and the Head of Commercial Operations * Provide relevant training of both new and existing staff to ensure working is in line with department and company compliance policies and requirements * Identify areas of underperformance and take or recommend corrective action in conjunction with the Head of Commercial Operations * General office administration duties * Any other tasks commensurate with the job or as detailed by the Head of Commercial Operations * Support the Head of Commercial Operations in all operational strategies for the department * Ensure all work personally undertaken within TFT is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and TFT safety systems and is in line with the requirements of the TFT duty of care document. Measurements: Achieve year on year growth targets through the budget and forecasting process. Execute the specific sales plans and strategies to optimise existing and potential business. Recommend sales, product, and pricing strategies. Maintain customer interface to increase sales to existing accounts and attract new.
