Great opportunity to work as a Guard Force Manager for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat. G4S is recruiting for a Guard Force Manager at a national infrastructure location in Winfrith, Newburgh, Dorchester. This is a full-time position, working primarily Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. There is flexibility in hours around operational requirements. Salary – £46,688.15 **Please note you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role** Your Time at Work Location – Winfrith, Newburgh, Dorchester Hours – Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30-13:30 Annual Salary – £46,668.15 Per Year Responsible to: Nuclear Operations Manager (North / South) Responsible for: Lead Guards, Deputy Lead Guards and Security Officers Our Perfect Worker Responsibilities – The Guardforce Manager is G4S\’ lead contact with client and they are the key interface with the client for the delivery of the contract; – Working with the client and Nuclear Operations Manager to develop a training scheme for the Officers; – Arranging and delivering training to any new staff; – Maintain staff competence through developed refresher training. – Providing coaching and mentoring for existing staff to ensure that they meet the required training levels; – Maintaining training and records for all staff for review as required. – Producing and delivering regular desktop exercises. – Working with the Recruitment Team on the recruitment of new staff including interviewing, arranging vetting, ordering uniform and arranging training; – Implementing all processes and procedures whether this be from a client perspective or a G4S one including the interpretation and implementation of all client instructions; – Writing and maintaining Security Instructions and ensuring all staff are familiar with the contents and are briefed on any changes; – Responsible for all areas of staff management including HR and performance issues as well as a wide range of administrative tasks such as approving holiday requests, completing monthly care visits and carrying out annual performance reviews appraisals; – Pro-active management of employee\’s attendance including carrying out return to work meetings, monitoring sickness and timekeeping and taking any necessary action; – Ensuring that minimum staffing levels are met at all times by managing rosters and arranging cover when required (including out of hours). – Ensuring that all staff are deployed in the correct manner to meet with the client\’s business needs including the rotation of staff through various posts and being flexible to meet changing demands; – Managing the health and safety of G4S employees on Site; – Writing and reviewing Risk Assessments; – Ensuring that all aspects of G4S\’ contractual and regulatory obligations are met and reporting on performance to the client and G4S Senior Management through the KPI process as well as any other reports as requested by the client; – Ensuring all documentation, e.g. Daily Occurrence Book, Logs, etc., are completed correctly by carrying out weekly audits; – Reviewing incident reports completed by the team, reporting any issues of concern to the client and taking action to resolve the issues raised; – Taking a proactive approach to security management including raising any issues of concern or vulnerability to G4S and developing innovations to improve security, team performance or reduce cost; – Managing the team during a security or safety event by acting in a command and control role, following the client\’s procedures and direction and deploying staff as appropriate; – Carrying out any other reasonable instruction from either the client or G4S Senior Management.
