The Opportunity

As Material Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and packaging are available to meet production demand efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage material and packaging orders, maintaining accurate forecasts and stock levels.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor production plans daily, analysing plan vs actual performance and driving schedule adherence.
  • Support new product launches and promotions by forecasting material requirements and minimising waste.
  • Maintain master data and trackers to support clear communication across departments.
  • Represent Supply Chain in meetings and contribute to site-wide improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills (educated to GCSE / A-Level or equivalent).
  • Experience in MRP/ERP planning systems and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Previous experience managing suppliers, stock control, and resolving queries.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and determination to deliver results.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and confident in managing competing priorities.
