Boeing Global Services (BGS) is growing here in the UK.
BGS Supplier Quality is hiring Supplier Quality Specialists to join our dynamic Supplier Quality Regional Operations team. In this role you will partner with suppliers in UK, Ireland, and Europe, ensuring that they provide the highest quality workmanship.
You will also be a key member of a larger team of Boeing Supplier Management, Engineering, and Program professionals located in the UK and US, all working together to deliver the best possible product to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers\’ products and services, quality systems, special processes, meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations
- Manage suppliers that support various component exchange and services programs
- Develops and executes business plans, quality requirements reviews, quality improvement plans all to improve supplier performance.
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, partners, supplier
- Performs Product verification and in-process inspections
- Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) review and acceptance
Desired Qualifications (Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with production (PC700) supplier quality requirements
- Experience working with a globally diverse team
- Experience in maintenance repair and overhaul and variety of regulatory environments (Ex. FAA, EASA, CAA, JCAB and other NAA)
- Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, occasional weekends when necessary, and Travel 50% of the time, both within the UK and Europe.
- Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution.
- Knowledge and experience of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Type Certificate process would also be an advantage although training will be provided for successful candidates to carry out conformity inspections and test set-up as part of the FAA type approval process.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Computer skills will be required to input data into a number of different on and off-line systems and applications.
- Good understanding of model based definition processes.
