Job Overview

Childcare Management Company invites applications for an Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship located in Glasgow. The role is part of a Modern Apprenticeship programme providing on‑site training while you work toward a nationally recognised SVQ Level 3 qualification in “Social Services, Children and Young People”.

The apprentice will work full time in the nursery, learning to deliver high‑quality early‑years education and care to children, while developing skills to support parents and provide outstanding customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage: ÂŁ7.55 for the first 12 months. Pay may increase after 12 months based on age and in line with Government National Minimum Wage Guidelines. The role includes paid holiday and other statutory benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and record children’s development.
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children.
  • Create fun‑filled learning experiences through play.
  • Prepare snacks and lunches for children.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting and nappy‑changing.
  • Set up resources and playrooms.

Qualifications

Qualifications preferred: National 5 in English, or 3 National 4 passes with at least one in English. No previous experience is required, but a genuine desire to work with children is essential.
