Responsibilities
- Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities and events within London, and Day Trips across the wider UK
- Researches excursion destinations, leads a guided tour at the destination and gives interesting information and facts to students
- Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
- Takes responsibility for health and safety of all students including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
- Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities and gives a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
- Attends and assists with large events and parties
- Ensures the EF Student Code of Conduct is followed by all students at all times and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems
Requirements
- Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable personality
- Confident in leading and managing large groups of students
- Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
- An interest in history and tour-guiding
- A team player, happy to work in collaboration with others
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
- Customer service minded and quality oriented
- Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences
- Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
- A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
- Fluency in English
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
