SuperCare are excited to announce that we\’re opening our fourth East Sussex home, Tudor Court, in the coming months. We\’re looking for deputy manager\’s with children\’s residential experience, ideally people who have cared for young people (8-18yrs old) with LD and SEMH needs.

The home is a wonderful secluded and secure manor house with four bedrooms, a large fenced garden with tennis courts and plenty of space. Due to it\’s remoteness, we\’re looking for deputy manager\’s who can drive and who can build a team of reliable, experienced coaches to provide the best care possible for the young people at SuperCare. Main Purpose of the Job:

  • To work alongside the Registered Manager to manage the service\’s existing workforce and resources, as well as to promote and safeguard the welfare of the young people in our care.

  • To assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.

  • To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.

  • To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the young people.

  • To undertake direct work with young people as appropriate.

  • To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.

  • To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people

  • To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately, and financial records are accurately maintained

Person Specification:

  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy

  • NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

  • Residential Experience

  • Team Building and Supervision Skills

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Understanding the needs of young people who have experienced trauma including managing challenging behaviours

  • Good organisational skills
