About The Role
Archive Assistant – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
Hull, On site (full time)

Reckitt was founded in Hull over 185+ years ago and is extremely proud of both its local history and its global brands. Our Reckitt Heritage archive truly supports the global business, and proudly tells the company’s story. The archive ranges from product samples to ledgers, and even a 1750s wax model of our founder’s father.
This fascinating collection is being moved to a new home on our Reckitt Hull site in 2026. To help us prepare for the relocation we need someone to join our Heritage team to help ensure the move goes seamlessly. Your role will primarily involve preparing and making space in an existing site facility for the Heritage archive.
Your responsibilities
- Clear/Catalogue and check all R&D boxes that will be transferred to Deepstore for future keeping (this includes GDPR checks for aged boxes est. up to 2500)
- Determine which boxes are to be sent that have the least likelihood of subsequent viewing requests
- Amend all documentation related to the archive changes for both localised management and for the quality system managed through a change control
- Re-position items to be kept both in RADA (Research and Development Archive Database) and in the excel database
- Identify and place historic boxes with any patient data into the Deepstore Box area
- Undertake training and standard operating procedure (SOP) reviews prior to carrying out FTC work
- Possible travel to and from the external archive during extraction project
- Prepare and assist with the transfer of archive boxes from the Internal archive to the external archive, supporting system needs and palletisation of boxes to be transferred.
