Director | Recruiting Finance Professionals for Manufacturing Businesses | North West
Hawthorn One are representing a Manufacturing business with a global presence, with a group turnover of over 50 million, with their UK finance team based at their Accrington Manufacturing site. They have multiple entities that manufacture a range of technical manufactured products to a diverse market. After a team restructure, with lots of internal change with processes and group structure, they\’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team of 6.
This job will support the Management Accountant and Finance Manager in month end preparation for 4 entities in the UK. The management accountants are split into task focused areas, with scope to take on more and support across all of the management accounts.
Initially this role will focus on cash flows for each entity, intercompany recharges, nominal breakdowns of the monthly schedules, month end reporting, reconciliations and supporting with the production related accounting and stock related activity.
If you are actively studying CIMA or ACCA, or would like a training contract to become fully qualified, study will be fully supported.
You will also be granted the opportunity to develop your own experience by taking on additional responsibility and ownership of other areas of the accounts. Due to the ongoing change throughout the group, there is also various project work which you may be exposed to.
Requirements
- Ideally the successful candidate will have some experience within a manufacturing environment, but this isn\’t essential.
- You will be AAT qualified or degree equivalent, with experience or at least exposure to month end management accounting duties.
- You will be open to supporting the wider team with duties outside of your job description to meet deadlines and have a pro-active attitude to your work.
- Person fit is extremely important, you must be able to communicate effectively, have a friendly personality and hard working attitude, keen to develop professionally.
In return you\’ll receive a competitive salary, depending on experience between £30,000 and £40,000. Holidays are enhanced, and you\’ll work between 35 and 37.5 hours a week with a half day Friday. Benefits include a company pension, healthcare benefits and more.
