GBR Recruitment are proudly working in exclusive partnership with a fast growing SME sized food & beverages business, recruiting for an experienced hands on Stock Controller to join their small close knit Food & Beverages operations team in Lincolnshire.

You will be responsible for stock & inventory control, plus some purchasing tasks, working closely with the companies suppliers, to ensure ingredients & raw materials come in on time, to fulfil their customer bases requirements OTIF.

Due to the team being small (under 10 FTE\’s), you will also get involved in packaging the finished goods for dispatch, as everyone gets involved.

Duties:

  • Control & monitor stock availability across the factory & warehouse, ensuring high quality, fresh F&B products are available to meet customer orders OTIF.
  • Stock forecasting, stock ordering & stock delivery scheduling.
  • Track & action low stock alerts, product substitutions & seasonal trend adjustments.
  • Manage & liaise successfully with product suppliers to ensure year round availability.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms & delivery schedules to secure the very best deals.
  • Maintain supplier records, including certificates & allergen specifications.
  • Support picking & packing when needed to ensure customers products leave on time.
  • Manage organisation, rotation & replenishment of factory stock.
  • Coordinate returns & rework activities.
  • Carry out weekly order reviews & lead stock buying days.
  • Ensure stock availability & minimal out-of-stock issues.
  • Reduced waste (aim for zero waste where possible).

Attributes:

  • Stock control / inventory control experience within food, beverages or FMCG.
  • Food safety, food allergens & BRC compliance knowledge
  • Confident managing suppliers, negotiating terms of supply / quality.
  • Some experience in food & drink buying desirable but not essential.
  • ERP / CRM / WMS system experience or similar.
