Teach Plus are currently working with a 3-form entry, \’Good\’ primary school located in Greenford, Ealing who are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work three days per week, covering Computing lessons across KS1 and KS2.
The school is large, diverse and vibrant primary school with excellent facilities including an onsite swimming pool for staff and pupils to use. Behaviour across the school is generally good and pupils are happy to come to school and learn. There are lots of opportunities for further training and development for all staff members.
You will be required to cover whole classes, specifically in Computing lessons across KS1 and KS2, three days per week.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
- Deliver lessons provided by the class teacher to whole classes across KS1 and KS2
- Have experience teaching Computing lessons, or the confidence to be able to pick up lesson plans and deliver effectively
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Liaise directly with class teachers, support staff and other members of the school directly regarding timetables, lesson plans/resources, pupil\’s progress etc
The ideal candidate for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will have:
- Experience covering whole classes across KS1 and KS2
- Ideally, experience teaching Computing lessons or confidence with ICT and the ability to pick up lessons and deliver effectively
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A strong work ethic who is willing to commit until the end of the academic year
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
