CNWL NHS FT Health & Justice Services Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist/ Consultant Psychiatrist HMP Bronzefield AAC on 06/08/2025 10 PAs (additional PAs can be considered) Be part of something extraordinary at the largest female prison in Europe.

We are offering the opportunity of a part clinical and part research post with the Institute of Psychiatry specifically looking into areas of improving health to women in prison. As part of this work, we will be reviewing data on short sentences and the risks these pose to women, family life and long term health and identifying areas of research with the potential to influence policy and explore expanding sentencing options for women.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care to the residents.

To develop their own specialist interests and if appropriate to bring these in line with Trust and local service development plans.

Teaching and training of specialist nurses, other nurses and prison staff where appropriate.

To contribute to the maintenance and development of Health and Justice services within the Trust to the highest standard through clinical audit and other activities related to Care Quality.
