Coach Builder / Accident Repairer – Thornton Heath Garage

Arriva is looking for a Coach Maker to join our team at Thornton Heath Garage.

This is a full-time, permanent role responsible for carrying out effective body repairs and planned maintenance on company vehicles, ensuring compliance with Arriva’s maintenance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on company vehicles to required standards.
  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and meet legal compliance.
  • Minimise vehicle downtime and repair costs through efficient work practices.
  • Follow Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain flexibility to work at other company locations if required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Coach Builder or Accident Repairer in a PSV or HGV workshop.
  • Relevant qualifications in vehicle body repair or coach building.
  • Ability to work independently and meet operational deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence (sufficient for road testing company vehicles).
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Pay: £22.00 to £23.24 / Hr Depending on Qualifications
  • Contract: Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday working week
  • Leave: 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
