We are looking to recruit a dynamic Assistant Bar Manager within the Laguna Kitchen and Bar at the Park Plaza Hotel Cardiff.
As Assistant Bar Manager you will report to our F&B Manager and will take responsibility for the day to day running of the bar. LKB offers an all-day fresh food menu, a wide range of wines, spirits, beers and cocktails that are served to a high standard and offers warm and attentive customer service.
You will need to be a hands-on operator, who is capable of using your knowledge and experience to motivate, educate and inspire the bar team to look after the customers and increase sales.
Responsibilities: –
- Manage daily bar operations to ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise and train bar staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain product knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Develop innovative drink menus that enhance the guest experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote bar events and special offers.
- Above all you will need to be charismatic, personable and passionate about customer service to ensure that the bar is a buzzing and an exciting destination.
Requirements:-
- Proven experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Knowledge of food safety / licence regulations and best practices in bar management.
- Creative mindset with an understanding of beverage trends and customer preferences.
