We\βre seeking an experienced Electrician Technician to join a prominent Chemical Manufacturing company located in Essex. This role offers an hourly rate of up to Β£19.71, with a day shift from Monday to Friday. Benefits include a 10% pension contribution, life assurance, private medical insurance, and 25 days of annual leave, increasing with tenure plus bank holidays.
As an Electrician Technician, your responsibilities will include performing installations and maintaining supplies and systems, ensuring all work complies with statutory and technical standards, including IET British Standards and Codes of Practice. The role may involve working across various sites within a manageable distance, as agreed. You will handle installation, maintenance, improvements, and capital work to support chemical processes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus in systems, including LV circuits, motors, power, and lighting, using test equipment.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader/Instrument Control Manager to implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical components and systems.
- Coordinate with other engineers to install specialized components, ensuring project completion.
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer\βs guidelines to complete electrical projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, 3-phase motors, fault finding, and troubleshooting on industrial control systems.
- Understanding of drawings and electrical standards.
- Hold 18th Edition BS7671 accreditation.
- Electrical qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
