Class 1 Driver
Location: Leigh, WN7 3BD
Shift times: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Pay Rate: £16 per hour, ADR is paid at £17 per hour
We\’re looking for full-time, Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Leigh with an immediate start on a temporary ongoing basis!
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
What you\’ll do on a typical day:
Longer distance routes delivery to customer sites and branches.
Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
Using a hand held scanner and completing relevant paperwork.
Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.
What you need to succeed with our client:
HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), ADR is preferred but not essential.
No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
Multidrop delivery experience.
Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
A can-do attitude.
