We are currently seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a well-respected nursing home in Wellingborough, supporting residents with nursing needs, dementia, and mental health conditions.
As a Senior HCA, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of person-centred care are delivered during the night shift. You will support the nursing team, lead care staff, and ensure residents are cared for with dignity, respect, and compassion.

We are currently seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a well-respected nursing home in Wellingborough, supporting residents with nursing needs, dementia, and mental health conditions.
As a Senior HCA, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of person-centred care are delivered during the night shift. You will support the nursing team, lead care staff, and ensure residents are cared for with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the night care team in delivering person-centred care

Administer and monitor medication (if trained and competent)

Support residents with personal care, mobility, and nighttime routines

Complete accurate care documentation and handovers

Monitor residents\’ wellbeing and report concerns to nursing staff

Ensure a calm, safe, and supportive environment overnight
Requirements:
-
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Previous experience as a Senior Carer or HCA in a care/nursing home setting

Confident working with residents with dementia and mental health conditions

Strong leadership and communication skills
-
Medication administration experience (desirable)
Location: Wellingborough
Shift Pattern: 12-hour night shifts (e.g., 8pm-8am) including alternate weekends
