Overview
Fortrea is a leading early-stage Clinical Research Organization with four ultramodern Clinical Research Units in the UK and US. The Drapers Yard Leeds facility is a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art 65,000 ft² clinic with 100 beds (and growing), fully dedicated to Early Clinical research.
We are seeking our next Sample Dispatch Coordinator to support international Phase 1 clinical trials from our Drapers Yard site in Leeds.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the storage (picking, packing, labeling) and shipment of samples according to study protocol and Lab Manual requirements.
- Dispatch samples to external laboratories globally.
- Ensure adherence to correct shipping procedures in compliance with international regulations for biohazardous and dangerous goods.
Who You Are
- You have an eye for detail and like things to be tidy and organised. You keep your work area clean and ready for the next day.
- You have experience of working to deadlines and following instructions. You never cut corners.
- You have good communication skills both verbally and over email and are comfortable using IT systems.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience of shipping packages or organising storerooms.

On a Normal Day
Learn and grow. You will be exposed to a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types (from single and multiple ascending dose, first‑in‑human, to food effect, drug‑to‑drug interactions, etc.). The core of your work will be supporting international Phase 1 clinical trials. All teams focus on answering one question: is the drug safe?
