Office Attendance – Our roles are hybrid; you should be able to work in our offices 2 days per week.

Opportunity

We\’re recruiting for two Supplier Managers to join our Tesco Underwriting team. The roles will focus on a wide range of services that are provided to our Tesco Underwriting and Tesco Insurance and Money Services team. Driving compliance with our Outsourcing and Supply Chain Management framework, to achieve our Objectives.

One role will be focussed on managing suppliers within our Claims Supply Chain (Motor, Home, Specialist & Legal, Fraud). The other role will be focussed on managing suppliers within our Pricing & Underwriting and Professional & Shared Services supply chain.

The Role

We\’re looking for candidates that can work in a fast-paced environment helping to deliver growth, responding to our needs and market changes.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

•Ensure full understanding of services provided by suppliers, engaging relevant internal stakeholders and report on performance, service, and risk exposures.
•Ensure business objectives and supplier objectives remain aligned and within rules of business conduct. Governing the relationship for maximum value, including review meetings.
•Analyse data and identify trends, summarise findings and give feedback on existing contract performance, provide as input to new contract processes to negotiations/renegotiations.
•Deliver required outcomes by managing relationships with suppliers while working within a contract management plan, in line with regulatory supplier compliance management framework.
•Achieving best value with the supplier through collaboration.
•Document Preparation: Organise and prepare complex documents using a variety of computer applications such Microsoft Office.
•Risk and Issue Management: Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated, escalating where appropriate.
•Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs, and concerns are identified and met.
•Work with senior colleagues to support with key supplier relationships.
•Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, working with key business stakeholders to assess their capabilities and suitability to join our supplier panel (with a focus on quality, cost and reliability).
•Work with Procurement and key stakeholders on the contract lifecycle to ensure appropriate service requirements and terms.
•Ensure our suppliers comply with relevant industry, regulatory & legal standards.

We need you to have (min experience)

•Experience working within claims operational teams or supplier management experience within a large, regulated or controlled environment.
•Leadership skills – collaboration, empathy, innovation, resilience & responsiveness
•Proven strength in Managing conflict and negotiation.
•General understanding of the Procurement & Supplier Management Policy and Framework.
•Excellent communication & presentation skills – both written and verbal
•Managing and influencing senior stakeholders.
•Experience of balancing priorities in a fast paced, consistently changing environment to meet tight deadlines.
•Awareness of FCA/PRA regulations relating to outsourcing and supplier activity
•Strong commercial acumen.
•Understanding of supplier commercial contracts.
•Excellent Analytical skills.
