Are you a detail-oriented supply chain professional with a passion for production planning and procurement? Novanta is looking for a Buyer / Planner to join our dynamic team in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and components that power our innovative technologies.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain production plans to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
- Execute tactical purchasing activities, including placing and managing purchase orders for components and materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as needed to optimise stock and reduce shortages.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
- Utilise SAP to manage planning and procurement processes efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in production planning and tactical buying, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP systems) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
