Waters Longbridge are hiring! We are looking for an Inventory and Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Longbridge, in our brand new state‑of‑the‑art facility. The role will perform a variety of office‑based and warehouse duties, with an emphasis on inventory control, including cycle counts, WIP records, goods in, picking and packing in an exciting, fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including WIP, Raw Material & Finished goods – maintaining Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance – including cycle counts, WIP records & scrap disposal procedures.
- Management of yearly Inventory Road map, ensuring area controllers complete all counts in a timely and accurate manner each month.
- Responsible for Production Receipt control with support from the General Materials Control Operative.
- In conjunction with the Material Co‑ordinator, take action to correct and/or advise the line manager of impending delivery/schedule adherence issues.
- To take a leading and proactive role within inventory budgeting and forecast setting, tracking attainment, and formulating any corrective actions necessary.
- Reviewing and recommending actions related to slow moving, aging and overstocked parts in all warehouses and work in progress.
- Produce monthly reports for allocation of provision within the plant.
- Recommending scrap and provision levels based on current, trended data.
- Analyse costs, liaising with the Materials & Planning team and Engineering to proactively reduce costs as required.
- Scanning of completed job packs and delivery notes.
- Ensure improvements are made in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 2015.
- Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) system at the sites via adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
- Complete Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) system related actions in a timely manner according to procedures e.g. CAPA, NCR etc.
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Timely receipt and processing of all materials at goods receiving using SAP.
- Safe and coordinated storage of all materials using FIFO principles to always ensure integrity of materials.
- Timely processing of all goods issues to internal and external customers ensuring FIFO principles and transactions are always completed using SAP.
- Maintaining accurate picking/put away of materials to aid cycle counting and assist with stock audits when applicable.
- Liaise with production and Material and Inventory controllers to agree packing and dispatch timelines.
- Packing of all outbound shipments to ensure integrity and protection of materials.
- Organisation of areas of work using 5S principles.
- Maintain stock levels of transportation boxes, wipes, plastic bags etc and initiate replenishment through purchases as required.
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of the systems used within the department in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 2015.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: GCSE in English & Maths.
- Certified FLT holder preferred but not essential.
- Clean Full UK driving license.
- Proven experience in a similar type of role.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 2015.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Computer literate – knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self‑starter and proactive in organising and planning workload.
